When The Insurrectional Logic of The Fsnc-Mrc-Bas Movement Coexists Harmoniously With Major Criminality And Banditry

Issa Tchiroma Bakary has chosen to place himself outside the bounds of republican legality. For several days now, he has relentlessly multiplied acts of provocation and calls for insurrection and civil war among Cameroonians.

In his approach, he has recruited a horde of thugs — Cameroonians as well as individuals from neighboring countries such as Nigeria, the Central African Republic, and Chad — whom he has armed and drugged.

In groups of 20, 50, or even 200, these individuals have set fire to public buildings and private residences belonging to local political figures, attacked police and gendarmerie posts, looted shops and ATMs, spread terror in the streets, assaulted peaceful citizens, and raped women.

The response of the Law Enforcement Forces (FMO) — coordinated, firm, yet measured — has so far succeeded in neutralizing the most extremist movements. Some casualties have been recorded among the assailants, particularly those who attacked police and gendarmerie stations to seize weapons.

By way of illustration, on October 28, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., a group of armed individuals carrying machetes and knives, known for attacking passersby at the Marché Bidon area in Douala, was pursued by an FMO squad. Eight criminals were arrested.
Bladed weapons were seized, and judicial proceedings have been initiated.

Those who pontificate on France 24 should face the truth: Cameroon is a state governed by the rule of law and will never be taken hostage. At the end of an electoral process fully mastered by ELECAM, the verdict has been delivered. All national and international observers mobilized for the October 12 presidential election were — a rare occurrence — unanimous in recognizing the quality of the organization and the effectiveness of the security measures put in place during the electoral process.

Yesterday, the Constitutional Council, the only body empowered to proclaim the results and whose “decisions are final”, declared Paul BIYA the winner with a score of 53.66%. This solemn session officially marked the end of the electoral process.

By persisting in his defiance, Issa Tchiroma knows — just as Maurice Kamto did in 2018 — that he has crossed the red line.
Mr. Tchiroma has unleashed his war dogs into the streets of Bafoussam, Bertoua, Douala, Dschang, Garoua, Maroua, Melong, Ngaoundéré, and Yaoundé. Their actions have caused major material damage and, unfortunately, loss of human life.

Tchiroma will be arrested, tried, and severely punished, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic — laws that protect the freedom of each and every one of us.

Molo and Mbembe will have all the leisure to comment on the verdicts on RFI or France 24. Meanwhile, the Seven-Year Term of Great Hopes will be launched in full force.
