Cameroon Truth Number Thirteen: As Directed By President Paul Biya, Cameroon Youths Await Election Result In Calm

Paul Biya a man of unity: The case of the Anglophone-francophone heritage

Provocation, bribes, diaspora manipulation of youths,  publication of manipulated results, sharing of fake “Proces verbale”, calls for national election victory celebrations, claims of congratulatory calls from sitting ministers and even army generals , videos or armed guards protecting self-proclaimed “presidents elus”, “facebook-presidents” installations, and even daily statements calling on other candidates to recognize and accept defeat have been met with refusal and rejection by the Cameroon youths and even elderly citizens. Even calls for ghost towns and mass protests have been ignored royally as the election process continues through the vote-counting commission to the constitutional council that will announce the final results.

Cameroon youths have not reacted even to insults on their presidents and direct attacks on his person, stating that the ballot will answer for them.

As the votes cast go through the legal counting and validation process, life has been going on in Cameroon normally despite some social media attempts to show the contrary. Since the election of October 12th, 2025, Cameroon youths have been going to school, farms, markets, sporting events, cinemas, playing games, using the internet and doing what youths do. To the vast majority, the attempts by some politicians to manipulate them and use them as human-shields have simply been ignored. When asked how life has been since the election, many simply say “NORMAL”. Others are not even aware that some candidates have already declared themselves winners.

Cameroon youths in universities and other institutions of higher learning approached after the election mostly stated that they just want the school year to run to and end. Many categorically stated that political disturbance of their school year will not be accepted. Still, many said politicians only remember them when they want power and forget them once they are in office. We even heard many saying President PAUL BIYA has guaranteed peace that enabled to grow and learn in a good country and they will not allow politicians to come and change that because of their personal ambition.

The nation-wide ghost towns that were supposed to start on the 18th of October 2025, were not respected in any town or village of Cameroon. Life has been normal in all ten regions of the country exactly as President PAUL BIYA requested his compatriots to do.

Even foreign media and social media anti-Cameroon campaigners are surprised at the calm and maturity that Cameroon youths have exhibited so far. Many now accept that the youths and President PAUL BIYA are actually in symbiosis when it comes to protecting Cameroon.

The many and varied election observers who are in Cameroon to observe the election process play-out have all praised Cameroon youths for refusing to be manipulated. The youth adherence to PRESIDENT BIYA’s call to remain calm and wait for the official election result has been described by observers as admirable.

Even as many Cameroonians are now calling for candidates who have not respected election laws to be prosecuted after the election process plays-out, other say Cameroon is still a young country and such disobedience of the law should not be allowed to destabilize the country. They call on other politicians to emulate President PAUL BIYA who is a legalist and respecter of the law. They say Cameroon’s democracy will only grow if all respect the laws.

As the youths of Cameroon exhibit their legendary political maturity and serenity, politicians who tried to manipulate them are planning their final act when the official election result will be announced by the constitutional council. These politicians and their manipulated minority gullible followers will once again be rejected.

CAMEROON YOUTHS HAVE SAID NO TO VIOLENCE AND THEY ARE PROVING IT AGAIN THIS 2025.
