As the October 12th 2025 presidential election enters its second week, the only verifiable constant is PAUL BIYA’S immense popularity and strong bond with Cameroonians. Clearly, the political “love-affair” between President Paul BIYA and the people of Cameroon which started many decades ago, is still solid and growing. Songs, poems, sketches, plays, videos attesting the love that Cameroonians have for their president can not be counted on social and classical media.
All over the national territory Cameroonians are in ecstasy over the vibrant campaign being led by the incumbent president. In MAROUA, capital of the extreme north region where he launched his campaign, hundreds of thousands or even millions of Cameroonians came out to welcome the president and listen to his campaign speech.
Cameroonians from the North, Adamawa, Chad, Nigeria joined their brothers/sisters of the extreme north in Maroua in a historic show of force that has left many observers speechless. After four decades in power, president Paul Biya’s popularity has not diminished in this region of Cameroon that he created. On the contrary, the youths of the region have adopted the president as their future. Youths volunteering to campaign for the president and accompany him when he wins could be counted in the thousands.
The streets of Maroua were lined with school children, the aged, farmers, planters, cattle-breeders, cotton growers, businessmen and women and persons of all works of life just to see their president and commune with him. In the crowds, those who understand the local languages said the population was saying they will vote for President PAUL BIYA 100%. School kids were chanting and thanking President Paul BIYA for the peace and prosperity he has brought to the region.
In other regions of Cameroon, the fervor that accompanies the ruling CPDM teams campaigning for President PAUL BIYA has reached historic dimensions. Enthusiastic crowds chanting their love for the president and their impatience to get to the polling stations and give him 100% of their votes are everywhere. Urban and rural dwellers all over Cameroon have in their large majority, expressed their confidence in the president’s experience, vision and capacity to pilot the affairs of Cameroon for the next seven years.
The different projects that President PAUL BIYA has realized in all the nooks and crannies of Cameroon are being chanted during campaigns. The life-changing realizations under president Paul BIYA have made him popular with people from all works of life. Even many who initially doubted after been manipulated by social media, are now expressing their love for the president.
Many Neutral observers of the Cameroon political landscape have observed and are confirming the unbreakable bond between PAUL BIYA and the people of Cameroon. Even hostile media platforms that used to deny the love that Cameroonians have for their president are now confessing they were wrong. Some opposition leaders after one week of campaign have confessed that there is no city or hamlet of Cameroon where president PAUL BIYA is not the most popular person. Some have even said there is no family in Cameroon where you will not find a die heart PAUL BIYA supporter.
On the 12th of October 2025, when Cameroonians cast their votes, who will be surprised if they translate this love into a massive force? Who will be surprised if in some localities PAUL BIYA actually wins landslide? Many have composed victory songs and are preparing victory parties to celebrate president PAUL BIYA when the election results will be broadcast.
How can a person who is loved all over a country not win an election? How can a person who is being praised for countless realizations not win the election of October 12th 2025.
To many who have observed upfront the strong bond that links President Paul BIYA to the people of Cameroon, October 12th 2025 will only be a confirmation day. No opposition candidate is even near and this is evident to diligent observers. Making noise in some remote moto-parks and driving down some markets can not measure the immense outpouring of love that Cameroonians are showing their president and his campaign teams. /-
