As predicted, Cameroonians have remained calm, there has not been bloodshed and life is going on normally after the constitutional council announced the names of presidential candidates. There was no riot, there was no insurrection, there was no destruction, and the electoral process is going on.
The rejected opposition candidates have in their majority accepted the results of the constitutional council. Meanwhile, the radical opposition and their diasporans, always prone to violence, have shown their true nature-violence, insults, attacks on embassies, etc.
Attempts to burn embassies shocked the world.
For those who have been following Cameroonians in the diaspora, this violence and calls for war are not surprising. However, most Cameroonians are shocked at the show of shame presented by the diaspora in Europe, the AMERICAS and other parts of the world.
To this diaspora of shame, blocking embassies, burning diplomatic missions, attacking diplomats and their families, boycotting and attacking musicians, attacking visitors from Cameroon, attacking Cameroon state officials on visit, attacking supporters of other political parties, calling on provisionary store owners in Cameroon to poison clients, calling for violent secession, a call to pick up arms and kill members of other tribes etc etc is politics. Many are even asking if these people are normal.
Anyone who does not align with them or refuses to follow their radical ideas must be killed. To them, you are either with them or you must be eliminated.
The politicians in Cameroon who recruited, groomed, sponsored and coordinated these extremists have refused to publicly condemn their crimes. Political parties that organized meetings in Europe with the full sponsorship and encouragement of these violent extremists have failed to call their dogs-of-war to order. Cameroonians now understand why President Paul Biya has put in place all kinds of measures to help these misguided compatriots of the diaspora to return home.
Even as Cameroonians peacefully await the presidential election of October 12th, 2025, President Paul Biya’s message “Let us remain faithful to our ideal of unity and look ahead with confidence” is their compass. No one has heeded to the diaspora of shame’s various calls. No one has taken any action to jeopardize the future of Cameroon. Many Cameroonians are ashamed at what they saw.
Many are now asking these frustrated adventurers who mostly illegally immigrated and have now seen they can not cope, to come back home. Others have asked them to take advantage of the different offers put in place by President Paul Biya which have been helping returning immigrants. They have been asked to come back and get involved in agriculture and other small and medium sized businesses.
As for those diasporans who were arrested in various Western capitals after their assault on embassies and high commissions, Cameroonians are calling on the host countries to apply justice while Paul Biya (the pope of peace) is saying that they are all his children. He is even asking that government accelerate the application of facilitation for members of the diaspora who want to come back.
Once again, Paul Biya has shown the future of Cameroon is assured in his hands while the diaspora has shown the true nature of the opposition and Cameroonians have seen.
October 12th will come and go and no one will be surprised if Paul Biya is voted by Cameroonians.
The future is assured
Bravo Paul BIYA.
